Frank Giardina

A veteran of over 30 years in radio and television play-by-play, Frank Giardina is in his second year working with Sports Spectrum.
Prior to working with Sports Spectrum, Frank was a broadcaster and administrator with Penn State University athletics for more than 17 years. Prior to joining Penn State in 1988, he served as the radio play-by-play voice of the East Carolina Pirates in 1986 and 1987 and the radio play-by-play voice of the Marshall Thundering Herd from 1977 to 1986. He also did AAA baseball in Charleston, West Virginia, from 1977 to 1981 and television play-by-play for the Cincinnati Reds cable network in 1982.
For the last 13 seasons, he has done college football and basketball television play-by-play for ESPN Regional Televison and ESPN 360. From 1981 to 1984, he was a televison sports anchor for WSAZ-TV, the NBC affiliate in Huntington-Charleston, West Virginia. Frank is a 1976 graduate of Marshall University with a B. A. degree in Broadcast Journalism.
